Question:  We have multiple buildings on a single parcel of land and would propose to build a 80 kW rooftop system on at least two buildings - possibly more.

Will each building receive the $0.713 FIT? When do separate arrays on the same plot of land get aggregated and fall into the lower FIT?

Answer:  If they were separately metered and had unique connection points, they would be considered two projects and would require two separate contracts. If they shared a meter connection and a connection point, it would be considered one project, and would therefore get the PV price that is applicable to the sum of the two systems.

However, please note, from the draft FIT rules, Section 5.4(e).

Projects shall not be divided into smaller Projects for the purpose of obtaining a higher Contract Price or any other benefit under the FIT Program. If the OPA determines that a project has been divided into smaller Projects it may (i) reject all Applications in respect of such Projects, (ii) apply the Contract Price to such Projects that would have applied had all such Projects been the subject of a single Application, or (iii) take such other action as it may determine. For the purpose of determining whether a project has been

divided into smaller Projects, the OPA will consider factors such as whether the Applicants in respect of such Projects are Applicant Related Persons, the relative Locations of such Projects and the Renewable Fuel(s) used by such Projects.
