Question:  The FIT rules (Section 2.1 a vii) are explicit about the definition of 'prior contract' and requirements to cancel an SOP (for example) and switch to a FIT. The microFIT contains no such detail.
1) What's the signficance of microFIT proposed rules Section 2.1 a iii in this context? (ie must not be an OPA contracted facility...) 'OPA Contracted Facility' is not contained in the Definition section)

2) What specific mechanism exists for switching from RESOP to microFIT, given the lack of clarity regarding 'prior contracts'?

 
Answer:  1. The project must not have a contract for the facility. E.g. they cannot have a RESOP contract (or they cannot already have a microFIT contract for the same facility).

2. There are no mechanisms for switching from a RESOP to a microFIT.
