Question:  It appears that micro-wind (e.g., < 5,000W) has been lumped into the grouping of community wind, <10MW. I wish to purchase a 900 W wind generator, however under the proposed FIT rules, I would be considered the same as a 10MW community based project. Clearly the economics of a micro-turbine of this size are different. Will the OPA consider a tiered approach to pricing for micro-wind turbines (similar to rooftop residential) that fall into the 500W - 5,000W size range, and provide tiered pricing to private RESIDENTIAL homes that operate micro-wind turbines?
Answer:  The OPA does not wish to discourage smaller projects, therefore, we will take your comment into further consideration.
