Question:  In your reply to ID: 10688 it is stated
"You would be able to develop a project on a property you did not own. The only requirement is that you own the "microFIT generator account". You would work with the appropriate LDC to set up this new account - which is a process that would be similar to setting up an LDC account for "tenant" on a property".

Our local LDC was asked to review and advice on the above
"it is the understanding of PowerStream that the account holder at the LDC and the contract holder with the OPA must be one in the same.Perhaps the OPA can offer some clarification if PowerStream's interpretation is different than what was intended by the OPA.

Please clarify

Answer:  Thank you for your comment. We will follow-up.

To be clear, if you set up a microFIT project on a property that has an associated electricity load, you will require one LDC account for the "load customer" and one LDC account for the "generator customer". The holder off two accounts does not need to be the same person. You can develop a project on a property you do not own provided that you are the account holder for the "generation customer".
