Question:  In regards to the FIT rules:

1. Could you please define what "reasonable" means in regards to the economic connection test? (4.3 d of the FIT draft rules)

Answer:  The economic connection test is designed to assess whether the costs of the grid upgrades required to expand the system capacity are justifiable in light of the best available information about confirmed transmission upgrades, other proposed generating facilities and distribution system expansion plans. This test is proposed to run for each region of the province every six months. Every test is unique. Further information on justifiable transmission system upgrades can be found at the Ontario Energy Board (refer to their proposed treatment for enabler facilities).
