| Question: | Is a system considered an existing generator under the current FIT rules if it is connected to the grid for the purposes of testing and commissioning, and then disconnected? |
| Answer: | An existing generation facility is defined as a facility, and its ancillary lands, that was connected to the IESO controlled grid prior to March 14, 2009 and has operated more than 500 hours in last five years. If the test facility was connected to the grid prior to March 14, 2009 and operated more than 500 hours in the last five years than it would be considered an existing generating facility. |
