| Question: |
The southwest region is currently considered a "transmission restricted zone".
Considering strategic plans to expand the transmision capability in this area will the restrictions be lifted and new generation contracts be awarded under FIT? If not, what is being done to address the concerns of potential green energy generators in this area? |
| Answer: | The FIT program will help to prioritize transmission development in the province through the FIT Reserve and FIT Production Line. Contracts will only be awarded in constrained areas if there is certainty that the required transmission upgrades have been approved by the OEB. |
