Subject:  One owner, 2 farm properties, 3 separate meters
ID:  10748
Date:  9/16/2009
Question:  Under MicroFIT can the one owner of two separate farm addresses with three separate existing meters be able to install two (or three) 10Kw PV systems?

Thank you

Answer:  If a larger project appears to have been broken up into "microFIT" sized chunks, the OPA will not approve the applications.

If the location of the projects were legitimately different, then it the project may be approved (provided it meets other eligibility criteria). Very likely, the OPA will have to assess these types of projects on a case by case bases.

We are still reviewing this issue and will provide greater clarity at a later date.
