Subject:  how do we determine capacity at a given location

Question:  in RESOP, to determine whether there was capacity for a given ( say ) 2 MW solar PV array at a given location, we would apply for an IFA.

what is the equivalent process under FIT ?

I know that there will be a connection database at some point, but we need to find the answers now for several projects we are working on

Answer:  Potential FIT applicants connecting to the distribution system will be required to consult their LDC to determine where available capacity exists prior to submitting a FIT application. This process is still being finalized by the OPA.

The connection data-base will only show connection availability at the transmission level.
