1) directly connected, where the electricity is exported directly to the electricity grid; or

2) behind the meter, where the electricity is being consumed by the customer and any excess electricity generated is then exported to the electricity grid.

The behind the meter facility in FIT program refers to the facility in scenario 2 described above.
