| Question: | If the microFIT PV system is connected as embedded generation, the existing meter has a reduced consumption equivalent to the energy produced. Does the LDC add the equivalent kWh as consumption to the existing meter? How do the two types of connections equalize kWh accounting to the LDC and customer? |

As an example, based on the OEB's proposed code amendments:
A microFIT project is load-embedded and produces 100 kWh. In addition to the 100 kWh produced, the load customer requires another 500 kWh from the grid. The microFIT contract holder would be paid: 100kWh x FIT price The load customer would be billed for: 100 kWh + 500 kWh = 600 kWh |
