| Question: | Please define a capacity allocation exempt facility as it pertains to roof-top solar pv installations. Specifically, can i install a 310KW DC system that will produce 250KW AC and still be treated as a CAE facility? |
| Answer: |
The term capacity allocation exempt is not specific to a solar PV facility, it is applicable for all generation types.
As per OEB codes, capacity allocation exempt means a distribution connected project that is either: - 250 kW or less on lines that are less than 15 kV - 500 kW or less on lines that are greater than 15 kV The kW here makes refers to AC power. |
