Question:  On wood biomass generation, was any consideration given to the modest scale combined heat and power approach, using the proven organic rankine cycle technology in the 1 to 2 MW range? If not, why not?
Answer:  At the time that the FIT prices were derived, we only considered pricing for larger biomass facilities. This is consistent with the typical size of biomass facilities that have been contracted for in other renewable energy procurement programs. We have heard from stakeholders there is a need for more differentiation in the biomass FIT prices, and we will consider developing a FIT price for smaller scale biomass facilities.
