Milestones

The FIT contract milestones are required to ensure that your project successfully connects to the grid and reaches commercial operation. The key FIT contract milestones include the following:

 
The impact assessment will assess the impact of your project on the electricity system, as well as provide specific details of what is required to connect your project and how long it will take to connect.
 
To obtain a renewable energy approval, your project will have to meet certain requirements, including provincial setback and noise standards, environmental impact studies and public consultation.
 
Compliance with the domestic content requirements for wind and solar PV projects must be set out in a domestic content plan and submitted with your notice to proceed request.
 
The financing plan must list all the sources of equity or debt financing for the development of your project, as well as signed commitment letters from these sources stating their agreement in principle to provide the necessary financing.
