The material on this website will help you understand the FIT Program and how to obtain a FIT contract. Before actually submitting an application, however, you should carefully read the FIT Program overview, the FIT Rules and the FIT contract. You also may wish to seek professional business, legal and technical advice before investing in any renewable energy project with the expectation of securing a FIT contract.
Please note also that if your proposed project will have a rated electricity generating capacity of 10 kilowatts (kW) or less (e.g., a residential rooftop solar PV panel installation), it may qualify under the OPA's microFIT Program for small renewable energy projects. You should refer to the microFIT website for further information.
You are advised to investigate options for connecting your project to the grid and to determine whether connection capacity is available before you submit an application.
