Failure to Meet Requirements

The OPA reserves the right to reject incomplete applications or applications that do not satisfy all of the eligibility requirements.

If your application package arrives after 5 p.m. Toronto time on the fifth business day following the date of the time-stamp provided in the application confirmation notification, it will be returned to you unopened with your application fee and application security payment.

If your application is received before the deadline and is subsequently rejected:

  • The application fee will not be refunded.
  • The OPA will give its reasons for the rejection and return the application materials and application security to you within 10 business days.
  • The time-stamp for that application is forfeited. You have the option to re-apply and would receive a new time stamp for your new application.

If your application has been accepted, the OPA will assess, by order of time-stamp, whether connection resources are available to connect the project.

For more information on the review of the mandatory requirements, please refer to section 4.2 of the FIT Rules.
