Commercial Operation

The FIT contract specifies the time frame within which your project must achieve commercial operation. These time frames depend on the type of project as follows:

  • three years for solar PV, bioenergy and on-shore wind
  • four years off-shore wind
  • five years for waterpower.
 
To reach commercial operation, your project must satisfy a number of requirements.
 
In some cases, your project development may have been delayed for reasons beyond your reasonable control. This is called force majeure.
 
The domestic content report describes how your project has successfully met the domestic content requirements.
