Capacity Allocation Exempt Projects

Capacity allocation exempt projects are generally small projects connected to the distribution system. The Distribution System Code defines these projects as:

  1. projects with no more than 250 kilowatts of rated generating capacity where the facility is connected to a less than 15 kV line
  2. projects of 500 kW or less of rated generating capacity where the facility is connected to a 15 kV or greater line.
