Please note that there was an error in the information presented to stakeholders in the February 25 session with respect to determining the appropriate minimum required domestic content level for a project. This error has been corrected on slide 3 of the presentation.
For microFIT projects, the minimum required domestic content level is determined by the actual date these projects reach commercial operation.
For FIT projects, the minimum required domestic content level is determined by the milestone date for commercial operation. For applications received on or after December 1, 2009, this date is based on the date a contract is executed plus the amount time specified in the technology-specific Exhibit A of the FIT contract.
For launch applications - those submitted between October 1, 2009 and December 1, 2009 - the milestone date for commercial operation is based on the date a contract is executed plus the amount of time specified in the technology-specific Exhibit A of the FIT contract, less any approved accelerated commercial operation days that were submitted with the application.
Options for a Capacity Allocation Exempt Facility
Solar PV projects that are a capacity allocation exempt facility may, for the purposes of affecting the minimum required domestic content level, elect to have a milestone date for commercial operation of December 31, 2010.
Wind projects that are a capacity allocation exempt facility may, for the purposes of affecting the minimum required domestic content level, elect to have a milestone date for commercial operation of December 31, 2011.
