Application Materials

There are a number of items that must be included in your application package. Requirements vary for different types of projects. Please ensure that you have all of the mandatory items required for you type of project included in your application package.

The application fee is based on the proposed generating capacity of the project and is non-refundable. Required for all projects.
 
The application security payment will be refunded by the OPA when the final FIT contract is executed. Certain FIT Program projects are not required to submit an application security payment. Required for all projects except capacity allocation exempt projects.
 
The authorization letter authorizes the OPA, local distribution company and Independent Electricity System Operator to share information about the details of your project. Required for all projects.
 
There are a number of questions on the application form about the connection of your project to the transmission or distribution system. All applicants must discuss connection details with their local distribution company or transmitter.
 
You must include evidence that you have acquired the required land access rights. Required for all projects.
 
All ground-mounted solar PV projects greater than 100 kW are required to submit evidence that the proposed ground-mounted solar PV facility is located entirely on land with soil classes 3 to 7, and unclassified soils.
 
Projects that wish to qualify for a lower security amount are required to submit a participation declaration form. This form is also used to determine the price adder.
