To participate in the FIT Program, you must submit your application to the OPA electronically in the format posted on this website. On receipt of your application, the OPA will issue a time-stamp and a reference number for your application and notify you by email.

After receiving confirmation of your online application and your reference number, you must submit an application package to the OPA.

Please review the following checklist to ensure that your application package is complete:

• application form. Two paper copies: one original prominently marked "Original" and one additional copy.
• reference number provided on the application form clearly marked on the envelope and on all materials included in the envelope
• all materials in English only
• application fee
• application security (if applicable)
• authorization letter
• evidence of access rights
• evidence that agricultural land restrictions have been met (applicable to ground-mounted solar PV projects greater than 100 kW)
• evidence documenting the Aboriginal participation level (if applicable)
• evidence documenting the Community participation level (if applicable).

The complete application package must be delivered in hard copy format to the OPA no later than 5 p.m. Toronto time five business days after the electronic submission of the application.
